Purpose
The IWG is established to:
- Promote cooperation among AFIAAR members in inspection-related matters.
- Enhance consistency in audit inspections across African jurisdictions.
- Facilitate constructive engagement with audit firms and third parties.
- Contribute to the overall objective of improving audit quality and market confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Share inspection methodologies, findings, and insights.
- Host annual Inspection Workshops and coordinate technical collaboration.
- Establish and manage the Findings Database for recurring audit issues.
- Oversee development of common audit inspection methodologies (CAIM).
- Develop training initiatives and coordinate knowledge-sharing across jurisdictions.
