AFIAAR

The African Forum of Independent Accounting and Auditing Regulators (AFIAAR) is a Pan-African platform that unites independent accounting and auditing regulators across the continent. Backed by national legislation, AFIAAR supports the effective enforcement of high-quality financial reporting standards, ethical business conduct, and robust audit oversight to protect the public interest and investor confidence.

AFIAAR fosters regional collaboration, capacity development, and knowledge sharing among its members, while amplifying Africa’s voice in international standard-setting processes.

Individual entities/organisations can become Official Supporters of AFIAAR by giving their individual support to AFIAAR’s mission ensuring that the African views are properly considered in the international standard-setting process, in related international debates and contributing to the progress in enhancing trust in audit and quality of corporate reporting; ultimately strengthening Africa’s competitiveness and giving it a voice on the world stage.

If you would like to become a Major Projects Supporter, the AFIAAR team will set up a call with you to discuss project details and funding opportunities. It is common to fund an existing project that has no resource allocation yet, but it is also possible to discuss new areas of collaboration.

Entities can apply to become a supporter of AFIAAR by completing the online application form here, providing a description of their mission and activities and a motivation statement in support of AFIAAR’s mission.
