Mr. Viswajithsing Tuhobol is the Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Mauritius. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holder of an MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Mauritius, he brings over three decades of experience in public financial management, audit regulation, and policy development. Since joining the FRC in 2007, Mr. Tuhobol has played a pivotal role in shaping the regulatory landscape of financial reporting in Mauritius. Notable achievements include driving key amendments to the Financial Reporting Act and spearheading the implementation of audit firm rotation and enhanced sanctions. He has also represented Mauritius on international platforms, including as Chairperson of the African Forum of Independent Accounting and Auditing Regulators (AFIAAR). Prior to his tenure at the FRC, Mr. Tuhobol held various roles within the Management Audit Bureau and the Ministry of Finance. He has served on several national committees, including the National Committee on Corporate Governance.
