Admire joined the AFIAAR Secretariat at its inception in June 2024. A seasoned professional accountant, Admire brings over two decades of expertise in accounting and auditing oversight, with a strong emphasis on independent regulation. Prior to AFIAAR, he served for more than 17 years as Head of the Secretariat at Zimbabwe’s national accounting and auditing regulatory authority. He was instrumental in championing the concept of independent oversight across Africa, engaging with governments, development partners, and professional bodies—efforts that culminated in the establishment of AFIAAR. He was elected its founding Chairman in 2018. Admire currently serves on the IPSASB Consultative Advisory Group and previously contributed as a member of the Africa Integrated Reporting Council. As CEO, he leads the Secretariat in supporting AFIAAR’s Officers, Working Groups, and Taskforces, in advancing the Forum’s mission to strengthen independent accounting and auditing regulation across the continent.
